Lucy #136: You next mention Matthew 12:32, and I will admit that on its face this
verse does sound pretty ominous. And yet we can release all the fear it inspires when we
remember that the only way to ―speak against the Holy Spirit‖ is to refuse to humble ourselves
before God by refusing to be Kind to others … Thus, Jesus remains consistent in his message
here as well – namely, that as long as we remain on his Way of selfless Love, we need fear no
evil in this lifetime --- and we need fear no Hell in the next. And this interpretation is actually
affirmed by Jesus himself in the Bible‟s very next verse! Please consider:
―Make a tree Good and its fruit will be Good; make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad.
For a tree is recognized by its Fruit.‖ ~ Matthew 12:33
―For I have set you an example, that you should do as I have Done for you … If you
understand these things, you are Blessed while you do them … Whoever receives one whom I
send receives me as well; and whoever receives me receives the One who sent me … I give you
a new Commandment: that you Love one another. Just as I have Loved you, so also should you
Love one another … Those who Love me will keep my Word, and my Father will Love them,
and we will come to them and make our Home within them.‖
