Daniel-Deluge #13 … judging Harmony
Daniel: All of us make judgments, Scaughdt, and we do so all day long. Some of them are good
and some are bad. Some of them are right and some are wrong … We make judgments if
someone is driving too slow … We decide what Facebook posts to agree or disagree with … We
decide which Facebook posts to comment on and which to leave alone … And yet these
judgments are very different than the one you are making, Scaughdt – and by that I mean the
judgment that you claim to follow Jesus better than others on this thread. In fact, it is pure
speculation on your part that others here don't understand the words of Jesus or his parables as
well as you do … Jesus is above all of us and the rest of us are somewhere below him.
Where in the Bible does it say to shut your mouth and open your heart? I can tell you
that the great prophet Jeremiah said that this is the exact opposite of what we should do. Our
hearts are wicked and who can understand such a thing without assistance?
When I said, ―I know that I cost the Son of God His life‖ your reply was one of the most
judgmental statements on this entire thread. In fact, I believe there are at least 91 of such
judgmental replies. They included claiming that I need to dust off my Bible and that I need to
love others more without judging them. It was all very predictable … It was all an attempt to
lambast my faith … And so I want to encourage everyone on this thread to hold on to their faith
in Jesus; not because I am worthy or because Scaughdt says that I am not, but rather because
Jesus is worthy and he says so … Indeed, that is our only hope.
The apostle Paul reminds us that none can stand before a Holy God unless we are washed
by the blood of Jesus … Luke and Paul were friends and shared there faith in Jesus. It was Luke
himself who called Paul's faith unshakable. Remember as well that the apostle Paul shook the
snake back into the fire and that Luke wrote that it was as if the viper‘s bite had no effect on him.
All of the disciples of Jesus agreed and said that we should confess our sins to one
another and repent. God will grant us forgiveness if we forgive others. We forgive others so
that our hearts are not poisoned. We forgive ourselves so that we can continuously focus our
eyes on the cross …
All the sighs and all the belittlements and all the underminings of faith are not the
solution for promoting love. God's love promotes our love, and we love because He first loved
us …All of us begin our faith with experiencing reverence and respect for the God who created
all that has been created … He knew us when we were in the womb of our mothers. His
thoughts were with us then, and they are with us now, and yet we still have to receive Him.
I am not trying to discourage any sinner. A person doesn't become perfect once they
accept Jesus as their Lord & Savior, but they know they are in great need of his Grace and his
Mercy … Here are more reasons why we should forgive: Matthew 5:43-44, Proverbs 10:32,
Luke 17:3, 1 Peter 2:1, Ephesians 4:31, 1 John 2:11, 1 John 4:21, 1 John 2:9, Matthew 18:21:22,
Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:22, Matthew 6:14-15, Matthew 6:12, Matthew 6:14-15, and Mark
11:25 -- just to name a few.
