Daniel #121: You then state that, ―The reason why I won't go to a church led by a gay
minister is that I don't think that he or she is willing to acknowledge or repent from that sin …
Now that opinion hinges on my belief in the living and breathing Word of God. In fact, all of
my definitions are in God.‖
Dan, this statement is radically inaccurate, and it is extremely important that you come
to understand why. As such, please allow me to once again make the following point extremely
clear for you, and allow me to do so very slowly in the hopes that it will finally sink in:
According to your very own Bible, HOMOSEXUALITY itself IS --- NOT --- A --- SIN!!!
I repeat again – according to the Scriptures in your very own Bible, homosexuality is not
a sin – and neither is being in a homosexual relationship – and neither is joining in a same-sex
marriage – and neither is showing Love-based intimacy (e.g. hugging, kissing, holding
hands etc.) with a homosexual partner. None of these things are biblical sins, Dan – not a
single one of them, and you won‘t find a single verse anywhere in your Bible that says
that they are! And that is the real Truth about the ―living and breathing Word of God‖.
It is true, of course, that homosexual lust is a sin – just like all other forms of lust are sins,
and yet you still haven‘t explained how you know for a fact that Oliver Clyde Allen is
committing lustful sins (because you can‘t) – nor how it is somehow OK for you to arrogantly
assume that he is (because it isn‘t) – nor how it is then OK for you to publicly shun him for his
sins even if he is (because it‘s NOT)!
Now if you honestly believe that Bishop Allen is a sinner – if you were to have any
concrete evidence whatsoever for the same – then it would indeed be fine for you to humbly (and
silently) refuse to go hear his sermons. Of course, in the case at hand you have no such evidence
whatsoever – you have only raw, unfounded speculations about what you assume he is doing
behind closed doors. And if this is enough to get you to not listen to a gay preacher preach, then
you must stop going to hear every preacher preach, for heterosexual pastors have just as high a
probability of committing mortal, lust-based sins as gay preachers do!
So I guess you won‘t be going to church this Sunday, seeing as you have already stated
that you are not a hypocrite … right?
