Lucy-Spew #13 … on Jesus & Hell

Lucy: ―Not everyone who says to me, ‗Lord, Lord,‘ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the
one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‗Lord, Lord, did
we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your
name?‘ And then will I declare to them, ‗I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of
lawlessness.‘‖ (Matthew 7:21-23) … Scaughdt, I think that Jesus gave us fair warning of what he
meant by repent -- to turn from your sin; to not bask in it or be boastful of it!
―The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honor is humility.‖ (Proverbs
15:33) … ―The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do
his commandments. His praise endureth for ever.‖ (Psalms 111:10) … ―The fear of the LORD is the
beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.‖ (Proverbs 1:7) … ―By mercy and
truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.‖ (Proverbs 16:6) … ―The fear
of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.‖
(Proverbs 8:13) … The Bible is what God Almighty gave us for instructions to life … ―And there
are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that
even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.‖ (John 21:25) … Amen.
―Jesus spoke more of Hell than he did of Heaven … Jesus warned of Hell from the start
of his ministry. Jesus preached about the horrors awaiting the unsaved lost ones. He did it in
public, he did it in private, he did it with the saints, he did it with sinners. Jesus speaks much of

Scaughdt, Jesus preached more on Hell than he did on Heaven, and here are the
Scriptures that prove it:
(Matthew 5:22 KJV) ―But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a
cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger
of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.‖
(Matthew 5:29-30 KJV) ―And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it
is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast
into Hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee
that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into Hell.‖
(Matthew 7:13 KJV) ―Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat.‖
(Matthew 7:19 KJV) ―Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into
the fire.‖
(Matthew 7:21-23 KJV) ―Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in
thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart
from me, ye that work iniquity.‖
