I frankly have no problem with you having a problem with homosexuality, Dan … I don't
even have problem with you placing a greater emphasis on the relatively ignorant writings of
Paul & the relatively barbaric laws of the Old Testament over the words of Jesus Christ ... That is
your prerogative, and I don't judge you for it … Where I do have a problem is when you violate
the Way of your own Lord & Savior and thereby harm others who aren't harming anyone else.
That is a form of bigotry that neither I nor Jesus are wont to tolerate without at least speaking up
for those being so persecuted. This is exactly what I have been doing from Day 1 in this thread,
and this is exactly what I will be honored to continue doing for as long as this thread demands.
In conclusion then, I am frankly thrilled that you would at least give Oliver & Rashad a
hug if you ever met them, my Friend … Maybe if you did ever meet them it would be easier for
you to see that they are indeed not ―mortal sinners‖ at all, and maybe you would also then be
open to hearing Oliver preach about The Word of God & The Way of Christ.
You are a Good Man, Dan, and I am thankful for you. And for what it's worth, I haven't
found this thread to be a ―circus‖ at all … In fact, I am almost certain that it will bear very Good
Fruit for many who read it in the future, and even have faith that it has born Good Fruit for a few
readers already … … Thank you for the time & effort you have put into this
conversation, my Friend … May the Peace of Christ continue to rest upon your Heart.
Daniel: Scaughdt, I do abide by the words of Jesus, and I ask that you stop misjudging me and
many others on this thread … The Holy Spirit of God seeks the hearts and minds of those who love
Jesus. Thank God that His Son wraps us in his Righteousness. Count me present with the Lord.
Scaughdt: Dan – my true Friend – I am actually not misjudging you & yours at all in this
conversation. You have openly chosen to believe (incorrectly) that the Bible condemns
homosexuality itself as a sin, and you have openly chosen to state that your interpretation of the
Scriptures is the only acceptable interpretation thereof … At least as far as I am concerned, that
in & of itself is not the problem, as such misplaced pride and such intolerant ignorance – if it
were kept private – would be solely between you & God & Jesus, and therefore none of my
business. What I am simply saying in this thread is that Jesus wouldn't be thrilled with that
choice … In fact, if you were ever to ask him, he would probably gently blast your hypocrisy &
your arrogance the same way he blasted the Pharisees & the Sadducees of his day – those pious
zealots who also thought that publicly condemning the sins of others was ―God's Will‖; a
practice that Jesus clearly despised and against which he regularly protested.
And yet the additional problem that rests at the very
core of this thread is the fact that you & yours have made
your hypocritical condemnations public; that you have
chosen to not only call out all homosexuals as being
―reprobates‖ & ―mortal sinners‖, but that you have chosen
to openly worship a God who will in all likelihood enforce
an eternity of suffering on all homosexuals merely for
being born the way they were born … This is bigotry and
injustice of the utmost degree, my Friend, and it deserves
to be outed with ―righteous judgment‖ as the capricious &
immoral prejudice that it is (again, see John 7:24)!
