Lucy #192: Thereafter, you state that, ―The reality of our having obtained forgiveness
will be tested in that day by our having bestowed forgiveness on others. Our fitness for entering
the Kingdom [will be determined] by the way in which we have served Jesus in the ministry of
Love to the sick and the hungry. In our justification all this had no part: and yet in the judgment
it will be the all-important element.‖
YES, my Friend! I‘m not sure why you quoted this at all, as this is exactly what I have
been saying all along! Indeed, at least as far as Jesus Christ is concerned, our Salvation (via
entrance into his Kingdom of Heaven – see Luke 17:20-21) can only come through selfless deeds
(John 13:34-35) of humble Kindness (Matthew 18:3-4) and self-sacrificial Love (Matthew 16:24) –
through setting aside our arrogant criticisms of others‘ beliefs and our hypocritical
condemnations of their behaviors (sound familiar?), at least long enough to reach out and extend
our warmth and unconditional appreciation to all such ―enemies‖ … As such, it looks
like it might be a good time for you & yours to do some ―repenting‖ regarding your
treatment of homosexuals, yes?
Lucy #193: Penultimately, you state that, ―If we are to see him as he is, and to be like
him, we must have purified ourselves as he is pure. It is perfect Love -- it is to be in this world
even as he is -- that casts out fear, and gives us boldness in the Day of Judgment.‖
YES again!!! … This is also quite spot on – except for the whole ―Day of Judgment‖
thing, which has absolutely nothing at all to do with perfect Love; and indeed, actually has
everything to do with keeping us from enlivening the same! (see John 5:22 & 1 John 4:18)
―And on that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me … and
that I am in you.‖ ~ Jesus Christ (John 14:20)
