Burnishing Bigotry - 3rd edition

Seriously, Lucy … If I were truly doing ―everything for my own glory‖, why in the world
would I have given away almost all of my possessions? … Why would I refuse to promote
myself and refuse to try and mass-publish any of my writings? … Why would I have no home of
my own? … Why would I have changed my name and refuse to speak about any of my past
accomplishments? … Why would I post most of my quotes online as either ―inspired by [the
name of another author]‖ or as ―anonymous‖? … Why would I walk The Way of Christ instead of
the much more popular (and much more comfortable) Path of Paul? … And whyoh-why
would I come to your husband's Facebook page to engage a conversation
where I know ahead of time I will be either ridiculed or blasted or ignored by
almost everyone ―listening in‖?
Rest assured, my Friend, I do none of the things in my life for my own glory -- but rather
solely to continue what Jesus started; to spread his message of radical Love & humble service
and to give glory to the only Essence that deserves the same – LOVE: the ―Father‖ who rests
within and all around each & every one of us in every moment of our lives.
In closing, please consider the following: *You claim that I ―have no Idea of who Jesus
really is‖, and yet neither do you … *You claim that you ―see a lost Soul crying out‖ in me, and
yet when you do so, you are actually only seeing yourself … *You claim that ―all [I] have to do
is let God speak to [me] and he will lead [me] to his truth‖, and yet you cannot even realize that
at least one of God's great Truths (the Truth of Jesus' heavenly Father) is being shared with you
through me right now in this very thread … *You claim that I am unwilling to let God lead me,
and yet I have been humbly & devoutly (& indeed radically) following Jesus' Way and his Way
alone for the past eleven years of my life … *You claim that I want to take command and ―do
things my own way‖, when in fact I am merely adhering quite literally to the teachings of Jesus,
supposedly your own Lord & Savior … *You claim that I want to ―change Jesus into what [I]
want him to be‖, while refusing to see that everything I feel & know & believe about Jesus
comes directly from his lips in the Gospels … *You claim that the Word of God tells you to stay
away from people like me, and yet Jesus himself says exactly the opposite (see Matthew 5:40-48 +
Matthew 7:15-20) … *You very kindly state that ―I pray that you will let God lead you, seek the
truth in God‘s Word! If you will let him, He will show you‖, and I thank you for that wellintended
Kindness – and offer you the exact same prayer in return:
Lucy, may the Peace of Christ come to you & yours. I humbly THANK YOU for the

P.S. If you are truly concerned about Satan
using me, then you are completely wasting your time
(though that misguided sentiment IS appreciated), for
there is one thing that Satan fears above all else, and
that is people like me who have the humility & the
courage to actually LIVE The Way of your own selfprofessed
Lord & Savior!
