Lucy #013: Then you continue on by stating ―Yes Scaughdt, we all know that you are
writing your own version of the Bible where sin is OK and justified in your kingdom -- where
murderers, and rapists and all sorts of evil runs rampant.‖
Frankly, Lucy, I find it fascinating how clueless you remain regarding this particular
theme. For I have explained how those who follow The Way of Christ are to respond to any &
all manifestations of Evil over & over & over again in our previous conversations – often in
terms that even a small child could easily understand. And yet it seems that you are simply
refusing to listen … Fair enough. If you do not want to know – if you are not willing to simply
read Matthew 5:40-48 for yourself and apply it to the representations of Evil in your own life,
then I cannot help you; and you – quite tragically – will continue to be an unwitting agent of the
Darkness, and one of Evil‘s greatest unintentional allies …
And while this admittedly
saddens me a bit, I just don‘t know
how much clearer ―Love your
enemies‖ needs to be, or how much
clearer my explanation as to why
The Love of Christ actually
WORKS can be made … Simply
stated: you are seemingly simply too
afraid to apply its admittedly
courageous Way in your own life,
and as such you remain fully blind
to both its amazing Power & its
sheer Brilliance.
Lucy #014: Interestingly enough, you then quote Clark Carlton (from his 1997 book THE
WAY: What Every Protestant Should Know About the Orthodox Church) as saying, ―The idea that one
can simply deduce doctrines or practices from principles set forth in the Bible without reference
to tradition is essentially a carte blanche for someone to take whatever biblical ‗principle‘ he
wishes and draw from it whatever conclusion he desires‖ …
And I find this quote particularly
intriguing because I happen to AGREE
WITH IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY! …
As such, in response I will simply plead
with you to please take this quote and read it
very slowly & very Care-fully to yourself --
preferably while looking in a mirror!
