Lucy #161: You then reference a series of passages from the book of Revelation, the
first two of which (Revelation 2:11 & Revelation 2:21-23) call into question the legitimacy of the
book as a whole … Indeed, before we analyze anything in more detail, the inherent Christian
conundrum related to Revelation must be addressed – and that conundrum is this: either
Revelation is a flagrant example of man-inspired blasphemy against the message of Jesus Christ
as shared in the Gospels, or Jesus had a complete & utter post-crucifixion personality shift after
ascending to Heaven … As a non-religious Follower of The Way of Christ, I am allowed to see it
as the contemporary anti-Nero political document it was probably intended to be, and yet for
Christians, either Revelation is a delusional tome of deceit, or Jesus completely flipped out after
his resurrection and fully abandoned his own teachings on Love & Compassion & Forgiveness
… And to see this Truth we need look no further than Revelation 2:21-23, which has ―the Son of
God‖ seemingly stating the following: ―I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her
fornication. Beware, I am throwing her on a bed, and those who commit adultery with her I am
throwing into great distress, unless they repent of her doings; and I will strike her children dead.‖
… Goodness gracious! What an absolutely wicked thing for him to supposedly say! What
happened to our beloved Jesus to have him utter such horrendous nonsense?!?
Well, as it turns out, it wasn‘t Jesus making this proclamation at all, but rather was a
fallen angel (one of the ―Elohim‖) speaking for Jesus that did so (see pages 207-209 herein for an
extensive biblical proof thereof) … Indeed, the Jesus of the Gospels had a very different and far
more gentle approach to the adulteress in John 8:1-11. Rememebr as well that he went out of his
way to note that even those of us who merely fantasize about sleeping with someone other than
our marital partner have committed adultery (see Matthew 5:27-28) – a mortal sin which will
supposedly then be obscenely punished by ―Jesus‖ in Revelation, who will then throw all such
adulterers (i.e. almost the entire human population – Christian & non-Christian alike) into ―great
distress‖ … I mean, even if this turns out to be true, this is quite clearly not the Jesus from the
Gospels we have come to know and love, and alludes to a God who is quite clearly not worth
worshiping – and certainly describes a ―gate‖ not at all worth walking through!!!
―I am the gate. Whoever enters by [my teachings] will be saved, and will come in and go out and
find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have
it abundantly … Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it
for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow my Way, and where I am, there will my servant be also.
Whoever serves me, the Father will honor‖ ~ Jesus Christ (John 10:9-10 + John 12:25-26)
