Scaughdt: Ahhh, Dan, you truly are a Good Man, and I sincerely believe that you really do
mean well with your prayers for me. They are more than a bit arrogant, of course (After all, who
are you to claim that you have the only access to the Truth related to the Scriptures?) – and they also
happen to be fully misplaced (You can rest assured that the Holy Spirit & I are doing just
fine together walking The Way of Jesus Christ), and yet I really do think you are
sincerely trying to do what is best – so I thank you wholeheartedly for your efforts!
That having been said, you once again frequently miss the mark (in Greek = sin) in this
latest comment; both in relation to the actual contents of the Bible, as well as to what I myself
have been sharing about the same in this thread. With that in mind, my Friend, I once again
humbly offer the following clarifications & corrections …
Daniel #113: First of all, there is no need for you to pray that I re-read Romans in order
to gain ―truth‖ (I have already read it many dozens of times, and have already practically tested its
verses many more times than that) … Indeed, just because I happen to have a different take than
yours on Paul and his letters does not mean I am wrong and you are right; it simply means that I
have read & researched the texts thoroughly, that I have put them into radical practice to test
their Fruits (as the Bible commands us all to do – see, in this case ironically, Paul‘s words in 1
Thessalonians 5:21), and that I have simply chosen to err on the side of following the teachings of
Jesus whenever other verses contradict him and his Way, his Truth &/or his Life.
To put it more simply, I have simply chosen to read the Bible ―bigger‖ (i.e. inclusively, as
a whole), to believe in a ―bigger‖ God therein (i.e. Jesus‘ all-Loving & fully non-judgmental Father –
see Matthew 5:48 + 1 John 4:18 = John 5:22), and to follow a ―bigger‖ Jesus (i.e. the Jesus of the
Gospels, not the faux ―Jesus‖ mentioned in Revelation) … This does not make me wrong – just
different. Every Christian has the opportunity to read the Bible in this way and every Christian
has the chance to then worship accordingly, and indeed over 60% of
current-day ―progressive‖ Christians are already thankfully headed in this
far more humble and far more Loving direction … (and a great big
Hallelujah from Jesus himself for that!)
