Lucy #485: You next claim that, ―The way back to God is to acknowledge our need of a
Savior and to accept what Jesus Christ did on our behalf.‖
Actually my dear, even though Jesus would humbly agree with the second part of this
statement, he vehemently disagreed with the first – and thus vehemently disagreed with Paul,
from whom this theology originated (see 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 & Romans 10:9 – in marked contrast
with Mark 10:18, John 5:41, John 7:16, John 8:50-54, & John 12:44 et al) … And yet even if both
portions of your statement were correct, the fact would still remain that believers in Jesus Christ
should be obeying his commandments over any other laws, and that they should be following his
teachings over anyone else‘s, and that they should be abiding in his words over any in the Bible
to the contrary … Again, please consider the following verses sincerely, and then please consider
acting accordingly – in your dealings with homosexuals, of course, and indeed in relation to
anyone else you might be tempted to judge to be a ―sinner‖ as well:
―Do not judge, so that you may not be judged … Why do you see the speck in your
neighbor‘s eye, but do not notice the log in your own? ... You hypocrite! First take the log out of
your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your neighbor‘s ...
You hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup [of others], but inside are full of greed and
self-indulgence ... First clean the inside of your own cup, so that the outside might also become
truly clean … Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never
enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this young child is the greatest in
the Kingdom … Let [she] who is without sin cast the first stone.‖
~ Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:1-2 + Matthew 23:25-26 + Matthew18:3-4 + John 8:7)
