Lucy #149: Next we see you quote Matthew 25:30, a verse which states, ―And cast ye
the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.‖
Yes, here we once again see the ―gnashing of teeth‖ reference, which in this case is
actually appropriate. As mentioned previously, ―gnashing of teeth‖ is a reference to the intense
flash of anger-infused frustration we all instinctively feel when we are being denied our selfish
desires; when we are essentially actively refusing to walk The Way of Christ … And fittingly,
who is it in this verse who will be cast into ―the outer darkness‖? The unprofitable servant, that‘s
who! The one who refuses to DO the will of the all-Loving Father – the one who refuses to be
Kind to strangers & enemies – the one who refuses to give to the downtrodden – essentially,
the one who refuses to follow Jesus‘ teachings, and instead adheres to those of Paul!
―With what can we compare the Kingdom of God,? It is like a mustard seed,
which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown
it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds
of the air can make nests in its shade.‖ ~ Jesus Christ (Mark 4:3-32)
[NOTE: The mustard bush is one of the more
ubiquitous ―weeds‖ of the Middle East; a shrub that
symbolized A) that Jesus‘ message was for everyone,
… and B) that humble service to others is the key to
reaping his promised heavenly rewards!]
