13 April 1945: An attack on <strong>the</strong> railway center at Neumunster ,<br />
Germany , was carried out with excellent results. This squadron<br />
furnished 12 A/C for this attack as follows: #471, Lt. Yavis and<br />
crew; #618, Lt. Martinson and crew; #615, Lt. Smiekel and crew;<br />
#263, Lt. Skawienski and crew; #840, Lt. Borgstrom and crew;<br />
#431, Lt. Holliday and crew; #909, Lt. Blanchet and crew; #225,<br />
Capt. Ward and crew; #636, Lt. Harvey and crew; #276, Lt. Dickson<br />

crew. All returned safely to base and <strong>the</strong>re were no abortives.<br />
14 – 15 April 1945: There were no operational missions on <strong>the</strong>se<br />

two days. The squadron took <strong>the</strong>ir “stand down” on <strong>the</strong> 15 while<br />
rest <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> group attacked a target in <strong>the</strong> Rochefort area in<br />
France , with excellent results.<br />
16 April 1945: Our squadron led <strong>the</strong> group on <strong>the</strong> mission to<br />
Regensburg , Germany to strike a railway bridge. Excellent<br />
results were obtained. Twelve A/C <strong>of</strong> this organization<br />
participated as follows: Lt./Col. Taylor (Squadron Commander),<br />
also group lead in ship #471 with <strong>the</strong> “A” crew; #263, Lt. Dean<br />
