PERSONNEL CHANGES:<br />

PFC Kirk and Pvt. Crain appointed Sgts. per par. 6 SO 137, HQ. <strong>91st</strong> <strong>Bomb</strong> <strong>Group</strong>, effective 1<br />

Sept. 1943.<br />

FLYING: Six A/C flew on a high altitude formation flight for a total <strong>of</strong> 27:00 hours. One A/C<br />

flew on a cross-country flight for a total <strong>of</strong> 2:00 hours.<br />

8 September 1943<br />

PERSONNEL CHANGES: T/Sgt. Williams from DS to duty. Sgt. Fagan erroneously carried as<br />

assigned and joined. 1/Lt. Stinson promoted to rank <strong>of</strong> Capt. per par. 6 S0 #247, Hqs. 8th AF<br />

effective 4 Sept. 1943.<br />

FLYING: Four A/C flew on a local formation flight for a total <strong>of</strong> 13:00 hours. Five A/C flew on a<br />

high altitude formation flight for a total <strong>of</strong> 15:00 hours. One A/C flew on a cross-country flight<br />

for a total <strong>of</strong> 1:00 hour.<br />

SPECIAL EVENTS:<br />

A SQUADRON PARTY WAS ENJOYED BY ALL PERSONNEL OF THE SQUADRON. The<br />

occasion was <strong>the</strong> celebration <strong>of</strong> one year’s service in <strong>the</strong> ETO.<br />

9 September 1943<br />

PERSONNEL CHANGES: 2/Lt. Regis Te Maat and S/Sgt. L. W. Young from duty to MIA 31<br />

Aug 1943, corrected to read KIA 31 Aug 1943. 2/Lt.'s Davis, Banowetz and Hansen promoted to<br />

rank <strong>of</strong> 1/Lt.'s per par. 10 SO #241, Hqs. ETOUSA, 29 Aug.1943.<br />

FLYING: One A/C flew on a cross-country flight for a total <strong>of</strong> 2:00 Hours.<br />

AWARDS AND CITATIONS: The Oak Leaf Cluster to <strong>the</strong> Air Medal was awarded for<br />

participation in five separate missions over enemy territory, per GO #144, HQ. VIII BC, Dated 8<br />

Sept. 1943, to <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

while participating in a mission over enemy territory, per GO #145, HQ VIII BC, dated 9 Sept.<br />

1943, to <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

10 September 1943<br />
