Mission: To Schweinfurt, Germany: Two A/C <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> squadron took <strong>of</strong>f at 1045 Hours on a<br />

mission to Schweinfurt, Germany. Ship #761: 1/Lt. Karl S. Thompson (P) returned to base due<br />

to engine trouble while <strong>the</strong> second ship #172, 1/Lt. Warrington S. Dalton, Jr. (P) successfully<br />

completed its mission and returned safely to base.
