important question is the taxis of parasitoid related to the host individuals.
Though most models consider that parasitoid individuals search their hosts
randomly, it is known that parasitoid populations tend to group in regions of
higher concentrations of hosts.
In this work, we analyze the impact of spatial refuges and taxis
movement in host-parasitoid systems. Based on a coupled map lattice
model, we investigate the effects of habitat fragmentation induced by the
refuges, considering spatial variations of the parasitoid efficiency, and
heterogeneous spatial pattern originated from taxis movement.
Keywords - Host-Parasitoid systems, spatial refuges, taxis.
