This is in accordance with previous reports of Mika et al. (1983), Pätzold and
Fisher (1991), Webster (1997), Baab (1998) and S³owiñski (2001). Skrzyñski and
Poniedziaùek (1998) reported that ‘Jonagold’ trees on rootstocks P 14 and M.26
grew more vigorously, while grafted on P 22 weaker than on M.9. Although some
differences were found between rootstocks M.9 and P 60, they were not statistically
significant. The same reported Voltz et al. (1993) and Ostrowska et al. (2001).
The growth of trees expressed as crown volume was especially decreased by P 22
