INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT AGROTECHNICAL
MEASURES ON APPLE-TREE ‘ELISA’ YIELD,
PRODUCTION QUALITY AND COMPOSITION OF SOIL

Summary
Investigations were carried out in 2002–2005 in the Demonstration orchard of
Land management faculty in Kaunas College. There was investigated an effect of
different agro technical measures (organic and conventional farming) on yield of
apple-tree ‘Elisa’ yield, production quality and composition of soil.
It was established that during first two farming years, differences of apples
yield between systems were not defined. On the third year of investigation yield of
organic apple-trees has been higher than conventional. The results of production
quality study showed, that amount of vitamin C was significantly greater in organic
apples. Electrochemical properties were better in organic apples too.
