The confer<strong>en</strong>ce will seek to respond<br />

to the increasing interest in this topic<br />

which is evi<strong>de</strong>nt across a wi<strong>de</strong> variety<br />

of disciplines and it will provi<strong>de</strong> a significant<br />

contribution to curr<strong>en</strong>t <strong>de</strong>bates<br />

by acting as an important point<br />

of focus. The work that is being done<br />

in this area is extremely heterog<strong>en</strong>eous,<br />

and the confer<strong>en</strong>ce will embrace<br />

and reflect this. In particular, it will<br />
