Filme machen mit Deutschlernern - Neue und alte Medien im
handlungsorientierten Sprachunterricht

Producing a video film takes careful planning, talking things over, developing roles
and acting them out, choosing and describing locations, structuring actions, and so on.
Appointments must be made, tasks assigned, responsibilities assumed and a basic technical
language must also be learned.
Ongoing communication is required using the foreign language in many different situations
in order to achieve the goal, i.e. a video film, the result of teamwork that can always
be shown, a product which will always have a value for the student and will remain as a
memory of the difficult process of learning a foreign language.
It is motivating and creative work that encourages team spirit.
Nothing about it is simulation.
In this workshop we first of all showed a 10-minute film produced by DaF students.
Afterwards we explained the process that led to its production: from the original idea to the
scriptwriting, shooting, mixing on PC, end evaluation and presentation.
In the second part of the workshop we developed a project for a film sequence.
Dieser Workshop, der am 11. September 2005 in Szigetszentmiklós/Budapest, Ungarn abgehalten
wurde, befasste sich mit dem Thema: Videofilme machen als Mittel der Förderung
mündlicher Kommunikation im handlungsorientierten Deutschunterricht:
Um einen Videofilm machen zu können muss man viel planen und besprechen,
Vorschläge machen, Rollen entwickeln und spielen, Drehorte auswählen und beschreiben,
Handlungen strukturieren... Man muss Termine absprechen, Aufgaben
verteilen, Verantwortungen übernehmen und sich auch eine grundlegende Fachsprache
aneignen. Man muss dauernd kommunizieren und die Fremdsprache in den ver-
