one-time funding for DNA testing of sexual assault kits.
8. Summer Gang Suppression: Reflects the deletion of
one-time funding in the Patrol Budget for the Summer
Gang Suppression Program.
9. LA-RICS: Reflects the deletion of one-time funding in
the General Support Budget for the purchase of mobile
data computers, a console switch interface, and
automatic vehicle locators needed for the LA-RICS
project.
10. Unincorporated Patrol: Reflects the deletion
of one-time Electronic Monitoring Program funds in the
Patrol Budget for patrol in the unincorporated areas.
11. Services and Supplies Realignment: Reflects the
realignment of services and supplies expenditures in
various budget units.
12. Position Restoration: Reflects the restoration of
1.0 Senior Network Systems Administrator position in
the General Support Budget and 1.0 Registered Nurse III
position in the Custody Budget to more accurately
reflect the current departmental position count.
13. Budget Realignment: Reflects the realignment of
services and supplies, capital assets, and other charges
to more accurately reflect current departmental
expenditure needs.
14. Rape Kit Backlog Reduction Program: Reflects an
increase of 2.0 Senior Criminalist positions in the
General Support Budget to reduce the backlog in the
processing of rape kits, fully offset by grant funding
from the Department of Justice/National Institute of
Justice.
15. Position Reclassification: Reflects Board-approved
position reclassifications to classes that more
appropriately reflect the assigned duties and
responsibilities.
16. Appropriation/Revenue Correction: Reflects the
deletion of funding provided for retiree health
insurance fully offset by a deletion in revenue.
17. OPS Consolidation: Reflects the transfer of funds from
the former OPS budget unit to the County Services
Budget.
18. Labor-Management Savings: Reflects the reversal of
the labor-management savings placeholder
adjustments included in the FY 2010-11 Final Adopted
Budget. Labor-management savings are being replaced
by changes in the County’s deferred compensation
program.
19. Deferred Compensation: Reflects an overall decrease
in deferred compensation plan costs due to reduced
County contribution rates along with a corresponding
decrease in the County’s total annual contribution limit
as approved by the Board of Supervisors.
