13. Probation: Probation’s capital program is valued at
$41.8 million and includes 11 projects: one project in
development, seven projects in design, and three
projects in project budget closeout. The decrease in
appropriation, revenue, and NCC reflects ongoing
planning and design expenditures for security
enhancements at various juvenile halls and camps,
completion of the Centinela Area Office replacement,
and modular living unit installations at Camps
Challenger and Scott/Scudder.
14. Public Health: Public Health’s capital program is valued
at $22.8 million and includes the development of the
refurbishment of the Torrance Health Center. The
reduction in appropriation and revenue reflects
expenditures for the South Health Center Replacement
Project.
15. Public Library: Public Library’s capital program is
valued at $125.3 million and includes 13 projects:
five projects in development, five projects in project
budget closeout, and three projects in construction. The
increase in appropriation and NCC reflects the addition
of funding for the development, design, and
construction of the East San Gabriel, Lake Los Angeles,
Diamond Bar, Stevenson Ranch, and Topanga Libraries.
The decrease in revenue reflects expenditures for the
ongoing design and construction of the East Rancho
Dominguez, Topanga, and Canyon Country Libraries.
16. Public Works: Public Work’s capital program is valued
at $20.1 million and consists of 13 capital projects:
two projects in development, one project in design, and
ten projects in project budget closeout. The decrease in
appropriation, revenue, and NCC reflects continued
design and project budget closeout expenditures for
various projects.
17. Sheriff: The Sheriff Department’s capital program is
valued at $295.1 million and includes 20 capital
projects: ten projects in development, seven projects in
construction, two projects in project budget closeout,
and one project was cancelled. The decrease in
appropriation, revenue, and NCC reflects design and
construction expenditures for the remaining phase of
the Special Enforcement Bureau Replacement Facility
and Biscailuz Center Regional Training Campus Projects;
construction of general improvements at the Altadena
Sheriff Station and Sheriff Department’s Emergency
Vehicle Operation Center; the project budget closeout
of the Athens Sheriff Station Project; and the
continuation of soil and water remediation projects at
various Sheriff facilities. The decrease also includes a
transfer of funding to the Project and Facility
Development Budget to transfer monies to the
Community Development Commission for the
development of a family service center within the
Sheriff’s STARS Center.
