Food crops<br />
Figure 51 identifies the most frequent<br />
food crops cultivated by the household in the<br />
different districts i.e. rice, cassava, groundnut,<br />
pepper, beans/vegetables, other food crops.<br />
Rice comprises the main bulk of food crop<br />
production across all districts with the Upland<br />
rice accounting for a bigger share than Lowland<br />
rice, mainly IVS rice in all the districts, except in<br />
Bombali district where next to IVS rice, Boli rice<br />
is also cultivated (Figure 52 ).<br />
Figure 53 and Figure 54 present the distribution<br />
of total food crop production in terms of overall<br />
household consumption, sales, stocks and yield<br />
losses. On avarage the households in all of the<br />
districts except for Kailahun present a broadly similar<br />
