EPL, it can be observed that on average the<br />
supported farmers achieve a slightly higher<br />
NFI (89 386 Leones) with respect to the nonsupported<br />
group of farmers (62 930). The<br />
latter can be partly attributed to the effect of<br />
STABEX-funded initiatives and other government<br />
sponsored activities in the area, as this survey<br />
was conducted after the technical assistance<br />
was provided to surveyed smallholders.<br />
When analysing the amount of cultivated<br />
acres between supported and non-supported<br />
farmers, it appears that non-supported farmers<br />
have larger land availability in their respective<br />
regions; on overage 2 more acres in the Eastern<br />
region and 1 additional acre in the Northern<br />
region (see Figure 107).<br />
