4.4 Tapping<br />

There are two tapping cycles available in the control:<br />

– tapping with floating tap holder and<br />

– tapping without floating tap holder.<br />

Tapping with floating tap holder is possible for both analog and coded spindle-speed output.<br />

Tapping without floating tap holder is only possible for analog spindle-speed output.<br />

The tapping cycle is defined in the NC program and can be called with CYCL CALL (M03). Tapping is<br />

adjusted to the dynamic behavior of the machine by machine parameters.<br />
