Procedure for Optimizing Machine Parameters<br />

Increment MP6230<br />

(e.g. by 10 mm/min)<br />

[1] Keep a note of the maximum<br />

feedrate that is possible in the<br />

worst axis.<br />

[2] If the override potentiometers<br />

are already at 150% and the axis<br />

still moves with a steady speed,<br />

increase MP6210.<br />

[2] The optimizing sequence is geared<br />

to the worst axis. This is why the<br />

feedrate must not be further increased<br />

with the override potentiometer and<br />

normal feedrate (MP6230).<br />

Connect a storage oscilloscope to the nominal<br />

command input of the servo amplifier for the<br />

X axis.<br />

In the<br />

"PROGRAM RUN/FULL SEQUENCE"<br />

mode, select optimization program and operate<br />

the external START KEY.<br />

Machine runs, digitizing starts.<br />

Increase the feedrate [1] with the override potentiometer<br />

[2] until X nominal command attains.<br />

maximum value and shows only minor voltage<br />

dips (axis should just still traverse at even<br />

speed).<br />
