Kodak D-19<br />

This is a high-contrast developer with good keeping properties and high capacity. It is<br />

especially recommended for continuous-tone scientifi c and technical work that requires<br />

higher-than-normal contrast. This developer has special applications for reversal processing<br />

(Reversal Processing, below).<br />

Water at 125F/52C, 750.0 ml<br />

Metol, 2.0 g<br />

Sodium sulfi te, 90.0 g<br />

Hydroquinone, 8.0 g<br />

Sodium carbonate, monohydrate, 52.5 g (45 g anhydrous)<br />

Potassium bromide, 5.0 g<br />

Water to make 1.0 liter<br />

Use undiluted. Develop 6 minutes in a tank or 5 minutes in a tray at 68F/20C.<br />

Kodak D-19R<br />

Replenisher for Kodak D-19<br />

Water at 125F/52C, 750.0 ml<br />

Metol, 4.5 g<br />

Sodium sulfi te, 90.0 g<br />

Hydroquinone, 17.5 g<br />

*Sodium carbonate, 52.5 g<br />

Sodium hydroxide, 7.5 g<br />

Cold water to make 1.0 liter<br />

* Sodium carbonate, anhydrous, 45.0 g<br />

Use this replenisher undiluted. After each 802 inches of fi lm add 25.0 ml of replenisher.<br />

<strong>The</strong> total volume of replenisher added should not exceed the original volume of the<br />

developer.<br />

Caution: Dissolve the sodium hydroxide in a small volume of water in a separate container<br />

before adding it to the solution of the other constituents.<br />
