He was born Oct.27, 1930, in Menifree County, Kentucky to Green and Sarah Ann (Walton) Donathan. He married Deloris Darrell Oct. 16,1954 at the First Church of the Nazarene. She survives. He was retired from the GM Fisher Body Plant in Marion. He enjoyedgrouse hunting and vacationing in Wisconsin. He was an avid NASCAR fan and was devoted to his church. He especiallyloved his grandchildren and attending all their events. Mr. Arrick was a graduate of Converse High School andthe University of North Carolina at Ashville. Mr. Arrick retired from Chrysler in Kokomo in 2008. He was a millwright and asupervisor of skilled trades at the time of his retirement. He was a former millwright of local 1029. He was a member of theConverse Masonic Lodge, former member of Converse Volunteer Fire Department, Ambulance and a deputy marshal. He alsohad worked for the Town of Converse. He was a member of the Converse United Methodist Church. He was an avid fan ofNASCAR, fishing and all sports. He loved spending time with his family. He was born Dec. 4, 1936 in Wilmington, Del., the son of Henry E. and Ruth (Ward) Jackel. He married BettyGarrigus in 1954 in Greencastle. She was the mother of his children and preceded him in death in 2001. He later married ToniA. Simpson in July of 2009, and she survives. He earned his B.S. degree from Indiana State College in 1962 and his mastersdegree from Indiana University in 1972. He taught industrial technology, physical education and drivers education for 32 yearsin the <strong>Peru</strong> Community School System in <strong>Peru</strong>. He was active in church activities, served as usher and on the Board of
Trustees for the First Baptist Church of Galveston. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying, traveling, camping, fishing andboating. Dick served in the U.S. Army, 327th Parachute Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division.
