She was at home,where she was surrounded by the love of family and friends. Liz was born Jan. 14, 1958, in Rochester to Donald andJacquelyn Hagenbush. She is survived by a father, Don Hagenbush; a husband, Dave Appleton; a brother, Chris (Debbie)Hagenbush; and a son, Brandon (Sarah) Appleton. She is also survived by several extended family members, as well as niecesand nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Appleton, and mother, Jackie Hagenbush. Liz’s love of God wasevident in her life, as well as her fight with cancer, as she never gave up on living, fighting or loving. She never complained ofthe treatment or side effects from this terrible disease, and always kept her witty sense of humor. Her strength was visiblydrawn from the Lord. During her life, she found true joy in helping others and putting them before herself. “You get the mostJoy by giving it,” she said. Liz was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was an active member at Olive BranchChurch of God in Roann, where she learned the meaning of the love of Christ. She enjoyed being employed for many years atFour County Counseling Center in Logansport as the Human Resources Director. Liz loved spending time with friends on hermotorcycle, on the sandy beaches when traveling, or watching a sunset with those she loved. Her love of life and the Lord willbe truly missed by those who were lucky enough to know her. Live well, laugh often, love much. Funeral service will be 2p.m. Thursday at the Olive Branch Church of God, one and a half miles east of Indiana 19 on 1200 North, with Pastor AllenBarton officiating. LaBare, 76, <strong>Peru</strong>, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, <strong>2011</strong>, at Select Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Feb. 22,1935, in Crescent Spring, Ky., the son of Henry and Angeline (England) LaBare. He married Sue Hoeppner on Aug. 2, 1956.She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dirk LaBare, Logansport, and Eric LaBare, <strong>Peru</strong>; three daughters, Lori (Phil)Ledyard, Constantine, Mich., Denise Witham, Constantine, Mich., and Julie LaBare, <strong>Peru</strong>; two sisters, Norma Crosthwaite,Erlanger, Ky., and Mary (Ron) Lantz, Crittenden, Ky.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded indeath by his parents and two brothers, Paul and Henry LaBare. Mr. LaBare was a die setter for General Motors in Marion. Hewas a member of the General Motors Sympathy Club, and enjoyed woodworking and coin collecting. He served in the U.S. AirForce. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, <strong>2011</strong>, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., <strong>Peru</strong>. PastorsKenneth Greenwald and Mark Karlson will officiate. Stoppel, 76, <strong>Peru</strong>, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, <strong>2011</strong>, at Hickory Creek at <strong>Peru</strong>. He was born Feb. 26, 1935,in Rochester, Minn., the son of Ralph and Rosalie (Riess) Stoppel. Survivors include four sons, Russell (Stephanie) Stratton,Lake Charles, La., Roy (Charla) Stoppel, Donathan, Ala., Ross Stoppel, <strong>Peru</strong>, and Curt Stoppel, Los Angeles, Calif.; twodaughters, Roslynn Stoppel, <strong>Peru</strong>, and Renee Stoppel, Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Lauren Stoppel, Byron, Minn., and CharlesStoppel, Lincoln, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infantson, Walter. Mr. Stoppel was an aircraft inspector and pilot. He retired from the U.S. Air Force, and was a Vietnam veteran.He was a member of the VFW Lodge, enjoyed gardening and airplanes. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, <strong>Peru</strong>.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, <strong>2011</strong>, at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Fogelson, 63, <strong>Peru</strong>, died at 10:09 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, <strong>2011</strong>, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was bornJune 22, 1947, in Howard County to LaVon and Bertha (Martin) Fogelson. He first married Alice Boring on May 28, 1966, inGalveston. She preceded him in death on June 28, 1994. He later married Juanita (Johnson) Fogelsong on July 27, 1985. Shesurvives. Also surviving are sons Roger (Lisa) Fogelsong, Logansport, and Ryan (Terri) Fogelsong, <strong>Peru</strong>; five grandchildren,Cody, Kyle, Braxton, Alice and Tristan; two sisters, Bonnie Davis, Frankfort, and Rosanell Fogelsong, Noblesville; nephewsand nieces Perry Fogelsong, Annette Fogelsong, Becky Fogelsong, John Davis, Jeff Davis, Kelly Boring and Amy Boring;step-daughters Melissa Adams, <strong>Peru</strong>, and Christi McClish, <strong>Peru</strong>; six step-grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Brandon Johnson,Caleb Borneman, Jesse McClish, Layla McClish, Noah McClish; a great-step-granddaughter, and special friends Tom andKelly Maynard, Bob and Deb Lynas and Dr. Don and Marlys Roegner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, a brother,Carol Fogelsong, a brother-in-law, John Davis, and his mother-in-law JoAnn Johnson. Mr. Fogelson worked for 32 ¼ years atDelco Electronics as a carpenter, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Galveston Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed racing,boating, snow skiing, fishing, horseback riding, flying model airplanes and spending time with his grandkids and his family.
