Paul Bullick, 90, formerly of <strong>Peru</strong>, died at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, March 31, <strong>2011</strong>, in Shelbyville. Services are pending atEikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, <strong>Peru</strong>.<strong>Peru</strong> <strong>Tribune</strong>, The (IN) - Friday, April 1, <strong>2011</strong>Lois Janet Wilder, aged 86, traveled home with Christ her Savior on March 29, <strong>2011</strong>. A storyteller, humorist, painter, knitter,gardener, cook, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, everything she touched turned towards joy andbeauty. Lois’s generous with, ready laugh and selfless love will be remembered by her husband Jack Wilder, daughters JanetDunning and Julie Banta and husbands, son Jackson Wilder, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, friends and extendedfamily. We are blessed and made richer for her life. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brookside CRC, 3600Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, Mich. Paul Bullick, 90, fondly known by most <strong>Peru</strong>vians, as "Mr. B," passed away at 1:40 p.m., Thursday, March 31, <strong>2011</strong>, at theAshford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville. He was born in <strong>Peru</strong> on March 4, 1921, the son of Charles and Clara GarberBullick. Paul married Dorothy Butt in <strong>Peru</strong> on June 8, 1941 and she preceded him in death on April 24, 1995. Paul was a 1939graduate of <strong>Peru</strong> High School and as a part of America's Greatest Generation served in the US Army during World War II. Hestarted his business career at the S. S. Kresge Store in <strong>Peru</strong>, after which he managed Kresge stores around the country. He laterowned and operated a Ben Franklin Store in <strong>Peru</strong> and Mr. B's Laundromat until his retirement in 1995. Paul was an activemember of the Main Street United Methodist Church, the <strong>Peru</strong> Rotary Club, <strong>Peru</strong>-Miami Lodge No.67 F & M, <strong>Peru</strong> ElksLodge and the Miami County VFW Post No.2067. He is survived by two daughters Carolyn Dice of Traverse City, Mich., andDiana Barnett of Indianapolis; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A service celebrating the life of H. PaulBullick will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 4, <strong>2011</strong> at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, <strong>Peru</strong>, INwith Pastor James MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery with military graveside services provided bythe Miami County Military Rites Unit. Family and friends will gather from 2-4 p.m., Sunday at the Eikenberry-Eddy FuneralHome. There will be a Masonic Service at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made to the family ateddyfuneralhomes.com<strong>Peru</strong> <strong>Tribune</strong>, The (IN) - Monday, April 4, <strong>2011</strong>Joseph Ellis “Joe” Teel, 87, Macy and formerly of Twelve Mile, passed away at 5:02 a.m. Friday morning, April 1, <strong>2011</strong>, athis daughter’s residence in Athens. Born May 25, 1923, near Perrysburg, he was the son of William R. and Jessica E.Lockwood Teel. Joe was a 1942 graduate of Deedsville High School. He was a member of the former Denver First BrethrenChurch where he had taught Sunday school for several years. Joe was best known for the way he cocked his hat on his headand for telling stories of long ago. Some of the best included his best friend Jr. Mills, and with several of his nieces andnephews, Susie Bell, Punk, Skeeter, and Meat Rind. Besides telling stories, Joe liked to work. He was always busy outside; hefarmed up until the 1970s and also worked outside the home with his cousins and son-in-law, Larry, at Millers Sawmill inPerrysburg and later at Van Duynes in Rochester. Joe enjoyed farming and gardening even in the recent few years, plantingand caring for over 600 gladiolas in his yard. He was very proud of them and encouraged people to stop by and pick a bunch totake home or just to drive by and admire them. He also grew peach trees and tulips which he loved very much. Surviving arethree daughters, Jolynn Rouch, Rochester, Gary Troyer, Logansport; Sonja Miller and husband Larry, Perrysburg; and PatCoffing, Rochester; grandchildren, Chad and Kayla (Oberg) Schneider, Zack and Cassie Schneider, Jessica Bruce, Laynie andAbbey Rouch, Gail and Randy Troyer, Deb and Russell Cornelison, Cody Joe and Rynae Miller, Rod and Robbie Coffing,Tonya and Kyle O'Farrell; great grandchildren, Jayden and Cali Schneider, Emma Schneider, Megan and Cory Holland, Zachand Abigail Troyer, and Katlin and Ryan O'Farrell; one great-great granddaughter, Payton Day Marie; one sister, NaomiKnauff, <strong>Peru</strong>; one sister-in-law, Alice Teel, Macy; several nieces and nephews; his extended family of Ora and Ann Clemonsalong with their children; and his former wife Betty L. Richardson Opple Teel. He was preceded in death by one brother, GlenTeel and two sisters, Vilma Glendenning and Mary Wideman and one great-grandson, Trevon Patrick Browning, and one sonin-law,Brian Rouch. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at McClain Funeral Home with Pastors Bruce Russell andGeorge Hapner officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.
