Finster, 87, Greentown, died at 11:15 a.m. Friday, January 14, <strong>2011</strong> at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born December3, 1923 in Miami County, the son of Carl and Gladys (Moss) Finster. Wallace was a 1941 graduate of Bunker Hill HighSchool. After high school, he went to work on the farm with his father. After a few years of farming he went to work atChrysler Corp. and eventually went on to work at Delco Electronics, where he retired in October 1994 after 42 years of service.He had been raised in the Bunker Hill Baptist church, where his mother was a member, but had been a member of GraceUnited Methodist Church since 1959. He enjoyed helping at their Thanksgiving dinner in conjunction with the Rescue Mission.He enjoyed spending time at the Purdue and Kokomo Libraries. He liked keeping up with the stock and watching the stockmarket. Wallace is survived by his four siblings, Eva Moore and her husband William of Noblesville, Noel Finster and hiswife Hazel, Ralph Finster and his wife Betty, all of Bunker Hill, Laura Jean Gaskill and her husband George of Greentown;eleven nieces and nephews. Doyal retired from the <strong>Peru</strong> Fire Department after 32 years. He served as the department’s chief. He alsoserved in the U.S. Army and co-owned Miami Trucking Company. He was a member of the <strong>Peru</strong> Maennerchor and theFraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed playing golf and being outdoors and spending time with his family. Shewas born on Aug. 21, 1935, in Indianapolis. A graduate of Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, she was a 1957 graduateof Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. At IU, she was a member and past president of KappaAlpha Theta sorority. Upon graduation, Sandra joined Crosley Broadcasting Corp. and became one of only three womenworking as television producer-directors at the time. Besides directing the late evening news along with other live shows, shealso produced and directed Kindergarten College and Timothy Church Mouse . She married Daniel Conaway Schram, on July16, 1960, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Indianapolis, and he survives. She lived in <strong>Peru</strong> for 45 years where she was amember of the <strong>Peru</strong> Art Club, Tri Kappa and past president of the Indiana Symphony Society, among other organizations. Shewas president of Conaway Communications Corp., which owned radio stations WAYT-AM and WWIP-FM in Wabash. Inaddition to her husband of 50 years, Sandra is survived by her brother, Richard McCrory, Scottsdale, Ariz.; three sons,Christopher Schram, Chicago, Roderick Schram, Wabash, and Peter Schram, New Orleans, La., and six grandchildren, Gabriel,Sabrina, Cody, Cameron, Ryder and Terralyn. At her request, her body has been donated to science through the medicalschool at the University of Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be led by Episcopal Priest RobertBretscher, her husband’s roommate while attending Culver Military Academy. She will be remembered for her punctuality,never wanting to inconvenience others and always being ready for the task at hand, including a wonderful job at raising threesons. Dick was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather.He worked for Freeman Loaders for many years and the N&W Railroad for 23 years. Dick loved to sit on hisback porch to the watch the deer and birds and listen to country music. He was a member of the Literary Aid Society andEagles Lodge. In his spare time, Dick raised money for the Ronald McDonald House. He recently received an award ofrecognition for his contributions.
