He was born in Maryland June 6, 1963 to Hubert "Hoot" and Judy Gibson. He married Mary Bollman Dec. 15, 1984 andshe survives. James was employed with Maconaquah Schools as maintenance supervisor. Survivors include his wife Mary;sons, Matthew James (Kayla) Gibson of <strong>Peru</strong> and Robert Gibson, also of <strong>Peru</strong>. He also had a grandson, Koiye Michael Gibson,a brother Rusty Gibson of Evansville, and a sister, Candy Hayes, of <strong>Peru</strong>. James was preceded in death by his mother and abrother, Joe Gibson. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St.,<strong>Peru</strong>, with Steve Bluse officiating. She was born Dec. 30, 1955 in St. Joseph County, Ind., the daughter of Paul and Evelyn (<strong>Web</strong>ber) Warwick Jr.. Shemarried Brian Allen March 14, 1992 in Miami, Ind. and he survives. She worked at General Motors since June 2006 and wasinvolved with Smiles Unlimited International where she was known as "Suz-a-bell," Secret Sisters, Feed My SheepCommunity Outreach and she attended Judson Baptist Church in Kokomo. Her faith was very important to her and shared theLord with all who knew her. She was very giving to others. She was very family orientated. She loved her pets, especially herblack lab. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and crafts and enjoyed life. She and her husband Brian shared a very close andloving marriage, there was nothing one wouldn't do for the other. Survivors include husband Brian Allen, of Rural YoungAmerica; daughter Emily Allen, of Rural Young America; son Nicholas Allen, Walton; brother Dale and Brenda Warwick,Tenn.; brother Paul and Nikki Warwick, <strong>Peru</strong>; and mother Evelyn Warwick, <strong>Peru</strong>. She was also survived by her father-in-law,Joseph Allen of rural Young America and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by herfather, mother-in-law, and her cat "Sunny." Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at Murray Weaver Funeral Homein Galveston with Rev. He was born in Huntington, onApril 17, 1950 to William H. and Ruth (Ice) Gustin, both deceased. On July 27, 1976 he married Linda (Grimes) Gustin, andshe survives. Bill was employed with Abe Sposeep and Son as a scrap yard operator. He is survived by his wife Linda, adaughter, Stacy (James) Hill of Deedsville; and grandchildren Chad, James Jr., Brandon, and Kayla. Funeral services will be at11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., <strong>Peru</strong>. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery,<strong>Peru</strong>. Friends may call from 9 a.m. Friday, until time of service at the funeral home.<strong>Peru</strong> <strong>Tribune</strong>, The (IN) - Saturday, December 24, <strong>2011</strong>Joni Carol (Knapp) Green, 52, a longtime <strong>Peru</strong> resident, passed away peacefully at her home on Dec. 22 after an extendedillness. Joni was born July 27, 1959 in Davenport, Iowa to Patricia and the late Daniel Knapp. She graduated from Belvidere(Ill.) High School in 1977 and attended Illinois State University, where she was on the Dean's List. She married Doug Greenon Jan. 19, 1980 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Elwood, and together they had five children: Rachel, who lives inKokomo; Jake, Nick, Jared and Jackie, all of <strong>Peru</strong>. She also leaves behind five grandchildren in Chase, Jackson, Devon, Kaseyand Eli. Joni was a dedicated wife and mother who stressed the importance of family and lived that example every day of herlife. She tirelessly supported her husband and children in all they did and was especially a constant fixture around area baseballfields during the spring and summer. A huge sports fan, Joni was dedicated to the Chicago Cubs and Purdue basketball.Baseball was a true love of her life as she enjoyed watching games and listening to them on the radio, as well as attending Cubsgames at Wrigley Field. She was also a good athlete, playing softball and golfing with her friends and family at Indian OaksGolf Course, where she and Doug played in a weekly couples league for several years. She also bowled for close to twodecades with her husband in <strong>Peru</strong> bowling leagues. Joni's Catholic faith was important to her, and was a true cornerstone to herlife. She attended Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in <strong>Peru</strong>, where she also taught baptism preparation, headedthe First Communion and Confirmation classes, and sponsored couples who were preparing for marriage. Joni's life was onewhere her faith, selflessness, kindness and dedication to her family and friends will be her greatest legacy. She lived by thosequalities, and her brave and dignified final battle against the illness that claimed her life will be an inspiration to those she isleaving behind. Survivors include her husband, her children and grandchildren, as well as her mother, Patricia, of Clermont,
