Patrick Downham, 57, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, <strong>2011</strong> at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Arrangements are pendingat Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.<strong>Peru</strong> <strong>Tribune</strong>, The (IN) - Friday, October 14, <strong>2011</strong>Raymond Lewis “Lewie” Fry, 63, <strong>Peru</strong>, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, <strong>2011</strong>. He was born Nev. 17, 1947 inLogansport to Raymond O. and Margaret (McMinn) Fry, both deceased. He married Diana Kirk on Sept. 3, 1971. Lewis wasretired and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Survivors include a daughter, Lt. Col. Leah R. Fry and husbandCraig Beck, of South Carolina. He was also survived by nieces Christine, Jamie, Lana and Sherrie and six great-nieces andnephews. Lewie also had a brother, James E. Fry of <strong>Peru</strong>. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Janet Dagnen.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Clark officiating. Burialwill follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. The Miami County Military Rites team will provide military honors atthe cemetery. Hewas born May 19, 1954, in Lafayette, the son of Wayne and Marjorie (Altic) Downham. Pat retired from Downham Heatingand Cooling and served in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his father, Wayne, <strong>Peru</strong>, brother Michael Downham,Kokomo, sister, Martha Downham, <strong>Peru</strong> and sister Twilla Wojociechowski, Lakeville, Minn. He was preceded in death by hismother, Marjorie. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., withthe Rev. Dennis Chapman officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. Born Feb. 3, 1932 inMishawaka, he was the son of the late George E. and Mary A. Glassburn Michael. Ray retired in 1997 from North MiamiElementary School where he had worked for 18 years as head custodian. He was a charter member and served 24 years withthe Denver Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing and camping at Lukens Lake near Roann.. He enjoyed Notre Dame and SanFrancisco 49ers football as well as Jeff Gordon racing. Ray could be found in the afternoons enjoying a healthy dose ofeducation - watching Loony Toons and Tom and Jerry. Survivors include one daughter, Regina Alder, Delphi; one son, BrianMichael, Logansport; one brother, Ronald Lee Michael, Mexico; his companion Bevery Ann Clemons, Denver; several niecesand nephews; and his beloved cat Tommy. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Mae Michael. Funeral services willbe held at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, <strong>2011</strong> at McClain Funeral Home, Denver. Burial will be private on Wednesday atWestlawn Cemetery, Denver. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born July 10, 1954, to Russelland Freda (Correll) Awker, both of whom preceded her in death. Brenda, a homemaker, was poet, she also loved animals andall God’s creatures. She had a big heart and would take in any homeless both two and four legged. But most of all she lovedher children. Brenda was survived by daughters Cindi (Jason) Ray of <strong>Peru</strong>, Tammy (Josh) Carter of <strong>Peru</strong> and Natasha(Jeremy) Adams; sons David Norman, Greg Norman and Michael Norman; several nieces and nephews; her brother Dick(Tehachapi) Awker of California; her sisters Violet Bacon of Mexico, Vera (Frank) Foister of Hartford City, Avis (Ron) Harrisof Roann, Sherry (Dave) Beeching of Amboy and Carolyn (Rick) Murgaw of Amboy; seven grand children and one greatgrandchild.She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Awker and a daughter, Shelley Norman. A private memorialservice will be held and arrangements were made by Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
