She was born in Braggs, Oklahoma on November 9, 1919, the daughter of John Henry and Marybell Adams Asher.Jessie married J. Howard Newman in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on April 7, 1939 and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2010.She and her husband, J. Howard, lovingly raised three children. A quiet woman of great faith, she was a member of the FirstAssembly of God of <strong>Peru</strong>. She and her husband operated a KOA campground in Corbin, Kentucky, retiring in 1982. Previouslyto that, she had also worked at General Motors in Anderson. Survivors include a daughter, Jerrie McCoy and her husband Ronof <strong>Peru</strong>; two sons Larry Newman and his wife Toi of Denver, Colorado and Terry Newman and his wife Mickie of <strong>Peru</strong>;grandchildren Jeffrey A. Langley, Melissa A. Jones, Isaac H. Newman, Heather L. Newman, Holly B. Munson and Angella D.Powell; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband J. Howard Newman; three sisters;six brothers; and a grandson. A service celebrating the life of Jessie C. He was born in <strong>Peru</strong> on August 4, 1923, the son of Clyde and Ron Kindig Doran. Richard was a graduate of <strong>Peru</strong> HighSchool and as part of America’s Greatest Generation, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1942. A WWII veteran, his militarydecorations include the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, the African Middle Eastern Service Medaland the WWII Victory Medal. Dick was a retired engine tender with the C & O Railroad and a member of the AmericanLegion Glen Owens Post 14. Survivors include a brother, Joe Doran and his wife Marlene of <strong>Peru</strong>; nieces Cheri Snyder andher husband Lawrence of <strong>Peru</strong> and Debbie Morris of <strong>Peru</strong>; and a nephew Mark Doran and his wife Amy of Springfield,Illinois.
