He was born in <strong>Peru</strong> on May 1, 1950 to Shirley Leeand Betty (Hollingsworth) Douglas. He married Sherry (Palmer) Douglas April 11, 1973, and she survives. Michael wasformerly employed at Square D, in <strong>Peru</strong> and was a CNC Machinist at PHD Inc. in Huntington before he had to go on disability.He was a member of the Glad Tidings Church in <strong>Peru</strong>, and prior to that he was a member of the First Assembly of God Churchin <strong>Peru</strong> for 34 years. He loved to sing, and sang in many area churches. He is survived by his wife, Sherry, daughters YavonneDruckenmiller, <strong>Peru</strong>, Amy (Jamie) Caldwell, <strong>Peru</strong>, Angie Fisher, <strong>Peru</strong>, and seven grandchildren; Jesse, Ashley, Austin,Andrew, Chad, Jasmine, and Zoe. Also surviving are sisters Betty (Fred) Tate, Ft. Wayne, and Judi (Jim) Shaffer,Montgomery, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Steven Douglas. Randy graduated from <strong>Peru</strong> High School in 1984 and Indiana StateUniversity in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in criminology. He was retired from the Indianapolis Police Departmentand a member of Sant Charles Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Surviving is his mother Jean Steg, of <strong>Peru</strong>; asister, Debi Steg and her partner, Dennis Nelson, of <strong>Peru</strong>; two brothers, Rick Steg and his wife Donna, of <strong>Peru</strong>, and Ron Stegand his wife Rhonda, of <strong>Peru</strong>; nieces and nephews, Richie Steg, Eric Steg, Crystal Steg, Kelley Steg, Jake Steg and NickolasSteg-Nelson.
