He was bornMay 29, 1953 in Kokomo to the late Charles and Mary Ruth (Ellison) Wininger. He married Lucinda ‘LuAnn' Wininger onSept. 23, 1995 in Kokomo, and she survives. He graduated from Maconaquah High School in 1972. Mike had worked forCuneo Press for many years, and also worked for Fouts Tire in Kokomo from 1995 until 2007. He was a member of Mt. ZionFree Methodist Church. He enjoyed drag racing, going to gun shows, and loved spending time with the family. He especiallyenjoyed attending his grandchildren's events. Surviving is his wife; Lucinda "LuAnn" Wininger, Kokomo; son and daughterin-lawDavid M. and Tonya Wininger, Kokomo; daughter and a son-in-law; Jill and Randy Chilcutt, <strong>Peru</strong>; four brothers andthree sisters-in- law, Fred and Phyllis Wininger, Tim and Cindy Wininger, George and Vickie Wininger and Jim Wininger;four sisters and one brother-in-law, Dianna Wilson, Jane Jones, Peggy Smith and Tracy and Bill McCartney; and fivegrandchildren, Britney, Alexis, Megan, Cole and Sam. Also surviving is a special friend and mother of his children; SherriReyburn, along with her mother; Janet White, who was very special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents,grandparents, and mother and father-in-law. She was born Sept. 15,1915, to Chester and Nellie (Smith) McKinley in <strong>Peru</strong> and later married Lloyd Irvin Kintner, who preceded her in death.Ombra was a homemaker as well as an employee at Square D, Senger's Dry Goods and Dukes Memorial Hospital. She wasalso a member of the First Baptist Church as well as the Eastern Star <strong>Peru</strong> Lodge. She was survived by two sons, Dennis(Linda) Kintner, of Gillette, Wyo. and David (Carolyn Sue) Kintner of Galveston; seven grand children and three greatgrandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Westfall, 65, <strong>Peru</strong>, died Nov. 25 at 10:23 a.m. at Howard Regional Health System inKokomo. He was born Sept. 13, 1946 in Kokomo to Robert and Berneice (Kieth) Westfall and theypreceded him in death. Roger married Lorretta Mofield July 25, 2002 and she survives. Roger wasretired from Chrysler and served in the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the <strong>Peru</strong>Maennerchor. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Shannon Poe of Kokomo,Nicole (Memo) Perez of Windfall and Danielle Westfall of Kokomo; a sister, Pamela (Weldy C.)Baldwin of Henderson, Nev.; and 10 grandchildren. She was born on April 6, 1920 in <strong>Peru</strong>, the daughter of John and Eura Etter Ireland. She married Cecil E. Troxell onSept. 3, 1935 in Marion and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1970. Willie was a member of the Main Street UnitedMethodist Church, was employed as a clerk at Senger Dry Goods and was the former store manager of Plotner's Dress Shop.Willie had a passion for living, which one couldn't help but notice. She had an infectious love for life, family and friends. Sheplayed the violin, enjoyed playing golf and was an avid softball player in her younger days. She was particularly proud of thefact that she pitched in the National Championship game of the Women's Fast Pitch Softball Tournament in St. Louis, MO inthe late 1930s. Willie had a special place in her heart for all animals especially her dogs. She is survived by a daughter JoleneJorgensen and her husband Robert of <strong>Peru</strong>; a son Terry Troxell and his wife Linda of Shirley; grandchildren Lori Jorgensen,Tony Troxell and his wife Shannon and Andy Troxell and his wife Tracy; great-grandchildren Jacen Troxell, Benjamin Troxelland Mary Troxell; two sisters Lelia Martin of North Manchester and Bonita Harris of <strong>Peru</strong>. Born in <strong>Peru</strong> on July 13, 1963, Liz was thedaughter of Henry and Judy Bonney Guyer. Her mother survives, residing in <strong>Peru</strong>. Her father precededher in death. Liz was married Aug. 28, 1993, to James Lee, who survives, residing in Logansport. Lizwas a substance abuse counselor for CLIFF ("Clean Living Is Freedom Forever") at the LogansportJuvenile Correctional Facility. A 1981 graduate of <strong>Peru</strong> High School, she earned a bachelor's degree insubstance abuse counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University and was in the process of earning amaster's degree from Triune University. She was a life member of the VFW Post 3790 auxiliary andalso a member of the American Legion Post 60 auxiliary. In addition to her husband and mother, Lizis survived by a brother, Greg (Brooke) Guyer, <strong>Peru</strong>, and a sister, Cheryl (William) Wallace, Shelbyville. Four step daughterssurvive, Linda (Chuck) Wood, Idaville, Patricia Lee, Albion, Barbara Lee, Burnettsville, and Jamie (Cristian) Matson, Avilla.Eight step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive. She was born on Nov. 7, 1935 in Fort Wayne, to Louis F. and Evelyn (Burdue) Schaefer. Shewas graduated from LaPaz High School in 1953 and was married to Ralph E. Birk on Aug. 1, 1954. He preceded her in deathon Dec. 27, 2008. Susan and Ralph built their own home in Plymouth, where they resided from the time of their marriage until1967 when they moved to <strong>Peru</strong>, after they purchased the One Hour Cleaners. She was also part of Miami Computer Services,Inc. for nearly 40 years, a business Ralph and her started in 1968. She did the data entry (keypunching) and made deliveries offinished work. Until her death, she did bookkeeping for One Hour Cleaners. Having been born during the Great Depression andliving through WWII, she was part of the generation that married in the 1950's and found that opportunities were nearlyendless. After high school, she worked for Emmco Insurance in South Bend, until the birth of her first son in 1958, when shespent the next several years raising the two sons, being involved in various school and scouting functions and such. She bowledin a league for many years also. She and her husband for many years planted a large garden, to which she canned and frozenumerous vegetables and fruits. An avid baker, she made thousands and thousands of cookies over the years whether it was aschool event when her sons were small or for the holidays. She and her sister-in-laws and her mother-in-law would gather andcan homemade vegetable soups and would also work on quilts. She also did a lot of sewing in the earlier years includingmaking many of her own clothes. She is survived by her two sons, Christopher L. Birk of <strong>Peru</strong>, Ind. and Alan E. (June) Birk ofGilbert Ariz. and grandson Regan E. Birk. She is also survived by a brother John (Betty) Schaefer, Plymouth and a sister Judith
