Kris Hann May 12, 1981 and she survives. Jim was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired as a truck driver for ANR after 32years. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Union for 32 years. He was a member of the Eagles, the Moose, Literary Aidand the <strong>Peru</strong> Maennerchor. His three granddaughters were his main and favorite care givers. Jim is survived by his wife, Kris;daughters, Kathy (John) Marshall, Vidor, Texas, Christy (Brad) Conner, South Bend, Beth Hodgson, Tucson, Ariz., Miranda(Chris) Cassel, <strong>Peru</strong>, and Monica (Rick) Gamble, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Zachary Duncan, Amanda Fuller,Andrew Hodgson, Michael Hodgson, Evan Abend, Kaitlynn Cassell, Kelsee Cassel, Kolee Cassel and baby Gamble due inJune; and his brothers, Mark Hendricks and Dean Hendricks, both of Rankin, Ill. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Mike Hendricks. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Mondayat the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., with the Reverend Father Douglas E. Hungerford officiating. Friendsmay call 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, <strong>Peru</strong>. A military committalservice will be provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit. Einselen, 87, of rural <strong>Peru</strong>, passed away at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 12, <strong>2011</strong> at his residence. He was born in MiamiCounty on Feb. 15, 1924 the son of John F. and Stella Binkerd Einselen. John married Carolyn Joan Agness at theMcGrawsville United Methodist Chruch on Feb. 2, 1949 and she survives. John was a graduate of Butler township HighSchool and a retired Wabash/Miami County farmer. Early during his farming career he also worked at Freeman Loader in <strong>Peru</strong>and at Honeywell in Wabash. After retiring John worked on several projects with Habitat for Humanity in Kokomo, Marion,North Manchester and Wabash. He enjoyed woodworking, making many items for gifts and donations to the McGrawsvilleWomen’s Fellowship annual Make-Bake & Take Auction. John was a member of the Roving Sam’s Chapter 5 Camping Club,and was active in the Indiana-Oklahoma Indian Mission Project for over 19 years. He and his wife Carolyn traveled to Liberiain 1990 with Operation Classroom through the United Methodist Church. Surviving along with his wife of more than 62 years,Carloyn, are his children, Steven and Kathy Einselen of Mansfield, Ohio, and their children Sarah, Abby and JonathanEinselen; Kenneth and Cynthia Einselen of Amboy, and their children, John, Mark, Lisa, Lydia and Matthew Einselen; andKaren and John Troutman of Galveston, and their children Rynan, Andrew and Nathan Troutman. Also surviving is a brotherEarl Einselen and his wife Wilma of Bunker Hill, and a sister-in-law Roselyn Einselen of <strong>Peru</strong>. He was preceded in death byhis parents, a sister, Mildred Elliot and a brother, Loren Einselen. A service celebrating the life of John H. Einselen will beheld at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the McGrawsville United Methodist Church, 9377 S. 300 E., Amboy, with Pastors Mark Hill andKenneth Cole officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Amboy. Family and friends will gather from 2 to 5 p.m.Sunday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. He married Thelma Grant on Jan. 17,1959, and she preceded him in death on July 11, 1997. He graduated from Formassa High School in 1946 and attendedArkansas Tech College. He taught high school in Scotland, Ark. and coached boys’ and girls’ basketball. He worked atStellite/Haynes International, retiring in 1992. He was very active in the union and loved Democratic politics. He workedheavily on the Senate campaigns of former Senators Vance Hartke and Birch Bayh. After retiring from Haynes, he worked atWal-mart for several years as a greeter. He was a member and past president of the Eagles Lodge and a member of theGreentown Masonic Lodge. He is survived by two sons, Rick Ward, Kokomo, and Kenneth (Donna) Ward, Muncie; onedaughter, Judy (Larry Greene) Sawyer, Sharpsville; grandchildren, Jesse (Kristen) Ward, Jon (Nicole) Silcox, Corey (Abby)Silcox, Tim (Eliza) Ward, Matthew Ward, Nathan and Rachel Dirck, Erica (Jason) Dishner, Michael Sawyer, and Kacy, Kelcy,and Kinzy Greene; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Grant, and Marion Neldon; and several nieces andnephews. In addition to his wife, Thelma Ward, he was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Joel Ward; sister, WandaFelton; daughter-in-law, Melany Ward; and one great-grandchild. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday atSunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Comer officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory GardenCemetery. Buck passed away on Wednesday, May 11, <strong>2011</strong> at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was bornJan. 15, 1956 in <strong>Peru</strong>. She attended and graduated from <strong>Peru</strong> High School, and owned a ceramic shop in town. She wasproceeded in death by her parents James and Eileen Buck, as well as her sister Judy Brundige. She is survived by her brotherRick Buck, his wife Donna, and sister Rhoda Glidewell, her husband Larry; nine nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces andnephews; and one great-great nephew. Her greatest joys towards the end were being with her family and friends, and spendingtime with her great niece Molly. A memorial service will be held at a later date, and in lieu of flowers, the family asks thatdonations be made in Randa’s name to the American Cancer Society.
