Bob was a Chicago Bears fan, and an avid bowler. He enjoyed golfing andfishing and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Eldridge, Noblesville; daughter,Jennifer (Jason) Sweet, Logansport; brother, Richard Eldridge, <strong>Peru</strong>; sisters, Sheri Moore and Darcy (Bruce) Ashby, all ofLogansport; grandchildren, Kyleigh Sweet, Kendall Sweet, Easton Sweet and Mallory Eldridge, along with a number of niecesand nephews. The service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, <strong>2011</strong> at Saint James Lutheran Church in Logansport,with Pastor K. C. Dehning officiating. Interment will be in Saint John’s Lutheran Cemetery in <strong>Peru</strong>. Visitation will be from 3until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at Kroeger Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Clark, 58, <strong>Peru</strong> was taken home by his Lord Jesus Christ at 5:45 p.m. on July 16, <strong>2011</strong> at Saint Joseph Hospital inKokomo. He was born Sept. 30, 1952, in <strong>Peru</strong>, to Wilma L. (Draving) Clark and Robert L. Clark Sr. William married his highschool sweetheart, T. Maxine (Houk) Clark on July 12, 1975. She survives. William served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S.Independence during the Vietnam era, he also worked at CR Metal in <strong>Peru</strong>, for 19 and a half years, where he worked as afoundry quality analyst. He then went to work for Chrysler Kokomo Transmission plant in 1995, where he was employed as afork truck driver. He was a proud member of UAW Local 685. William attended and was an avid member of the chapel ofpraise and loved his church family. He loved and adored spending time with his grandkids and date nights with his wife! Healso enjoyed taking care of the landscaping of the chapel of praise. William also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Sportster.He is survived by his wife, one daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and Robert Moreraft, <strong>Peru</strong>; one son and daughter-in-law, Pauland Nicole Clark, <strong>Peru</strong>. He is also survived by six sisters and one brother, Linda McMillan, Moore, Okla., Julie and BobDuncan, Fairfield, Ill., Terrie Rosalaes, Decatur, Texas; Cindy and Arnie McKintrick, Fairfield, Ill.; Sara Ousley, <strong>Peru</strong>; TomWilhelm and wife Angie, New Haven, Ill.; and Deanna Cress and husband Robert Carbondale, Ill. Willisam is also survived byfive grandkids, Ethan Michal, Madison Jayne, Molly Jo, Sofia Suzanne, Emma May and Max William who will arrive mid-November. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma L. (Draving) Boyd; April 29, <strong>2011</strong>, and a brother, Robert L. Clark,Jr., March 19, 1993. Arrangements by McClain Funeral Home.Thursday, July 21, <strong>2011</strong>Douglas Thomas Howlette, 55, of <strong>Peru</strong>, passed away at 7:10 P.M., Tuesday, July 19, <strong>2011</strong> at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo,Ind. Doug was born on Dec. 31, 1955 in London, England, the son of Robert C. and Maureen Pollard Howlette. He moved toSouth Africa from England when he was 17 years old, as his dream was to play or be involved in soccer. While in South Africahe married and had two children. He accomplished his dream playing professional soccer while in South Africa and helpedestablished the first racially mixed soccer league there in the 1970's. Doug moved to the United States in 1998, amicablydivorced soon thereafter, and met his wife Susan, in 2003 in Kennesaw Ga., and they were married January 20, 2005. Heworked for the United States Soccer Academy, and took 180 young soccer players to Europe on tours to compete in JuniorWorld Youth Cups. Doug and his wife Susan moved to Indiana in 2005 and he was currently employed as a Recreation Leaderat the Miami Correctional Facility, where he was named the employee of the month for July 2009. He has served as the headcoach of the Maconaquah Boys Soccer Team since 2007 and in 2010 they completed their most successful season winning theSectional Tournament. Surviving in addition to his wife, Susan, are his children, Tammy Howlette and Jonathan Howlette ofKennesaw Ga. and his step son Scott Handy of Kokomo; grandson, Joshua Howlette, and step grandsons, Nick Handy andNolan Handy; a sister. Susan Conway and her husband James of England; brothers, Alan Howlette of France, Geoff Howletteof Scotland, Bob Howlette and his wife Marie of South Africa and Philip Howlette of Australia. A service celebrating the lifeof Douglas T. Howlette, will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 24, <strong>2011</strong> at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main,<strong>Peru</strong>, with Pastor Evan Strong officiating. Family and friends will gather from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Eikenberry-Eddy FuneralHome.
