Flower, Phoenix,Ariz. 85014, via mail, phone (602) 530-6900 , or online at hov.org , in memory of Julia Wood.<strong>Peru</strong> <strong>Tribune</strong>, The (IN) - Wednesday, April 6, <strong>2011</strong>Mrs. Annabelle Susan Hart, 80, of 2077 Second St., Tiosa, passed away at 8:45 a.m., Sunday, April 3, <strong>2011</strong>, at her residence.She was born in South Bend, on Sept.3, 1930, to Vernon and Eleanor (Cauffman) Gelbaugh. She shared her childhood with herbrother, Richard. Annabelle lived in the Rochester area all of her life. Her parents moved to Fulton County when she was 3days old. She was the oldest in Tiosa, living there longer than anyone she knew. On Dec. 2, 2006, Annabelle had to say goodbyeto her husband, of 56 years. However, even after his death, Glenn still lived in her heart. Annabelle shared her memory oftheir first date, "A group of girls and I had just returned from the Tulip Festival in Holland, Mich. Glenn Hart saw me out in theyard and called me for a date that evening. After a four-month courtship, we were married on Sept. 30, 1950, in Kewanna."From their union came three sons, five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her family was very important to her. Shedisplayed their pictures throughout her home. A treasured Christmas gift was a framed family tree given to her by hergrandchildren. Through the years, Annabelle had a career as well as a family. After her marriage, she worked at the radiofactory in Rochester. Her favorite memories took place while working at the Rochester High School cafeteria for 13 years. Shealso worked in the kitchen at the Sale Barn on Saturdays. Annabelle loved to cook and really enjoyed talking to the high schoolstudents. Following Glenn and Annabelle's retirement, they formed a lawn mowing business which they helped the seniorladies keep their yards in tip-top condition, while barely making a charge to cover their gas, as it was theraputic and exercisefor them, along with a way to enjoy each other’s company. Annabelle was always there for everyone, the word "no" was not inher vocabulary. A favorite hobby was trying out new recipes. She liked to make many different kinds of cookies, but thefamily's favorite was chocolate chip. Annabelle's roots are very deep. "I've always loved Rochester,” she said. “It's home to me.That's why I've stayed for so many years.” Annabelle is lovingly remembered by three sons: Ed (Susan) Hart, Warsaw, Rick(Susan) Hart, Mentone, and Jim (Cindy) Hart, Elkhart; five grandchildren, Jennifer Cobbs, Liz Kelley, Aaron Hart, GretchenWadkins, and Wes Hart; 11 great-grandchildren with another due to arrive in June; a sister-in-law, Ruth Gelbaugh; and severalnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her brother Richard Gelbaugh. A celebration ofthe life of Annabelle Hart will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 6, <strong>2011</strong>, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18thSt., Rochester, with Pastors Mike Beezley and Randy Smoot officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. onTuesday and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Tony was born in Gloucester, Mass., on July 25, 1929, the son of Frank and Eleanor Gagliano. He married Rosalie A.Frontiero on Feb 5, 1950, and she preceded him in death on Feb 21, 1989. Tony was a 1948 graduate of Gloucester HighSchool. Following graduation from high school, he was a florist/ grower in Massachusetts until 1952 when he enlisted in theU.S. Air Force. Tony served as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, retiring as a master sergeant in1972. He was a Korean War Veteran and his military decorations include the Air Force Medal, the National Defense Medal,the Good Conduct Medal, the Korean Service Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal. Following retirement from theAir Force, Tony was employed by the <strong>Peru</strong> Foundry and the Atlas Foundry in Marion. He was a member of the St. CharlesCatholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Cardinal O’Hara Lodge No.718, the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Msgr. PaulA. Welsh Assembly No.2146, the <strong>Peru</strong> Maennerchor, the <strong>Peru</strong> American Legion Glen Owens Post 14, the Miami County VFWPost 2067, the Literary Aid Society, <strong>Peru</strong> Moose Lodge and the <strong>Peru</strong> Elks Lodge. He is survived by a son, Frank J. (Victoria)Gagliano of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter Toni Lynn (John) Draper of Lagro; grandchildren, Michael A. Brumerskyj (son ofOlha Brumerskyj of Australia) Frank J. (Allison) Gagliano, Jr. Vanessa E. (Brandon) Paxton, Katrina (Travis) Cheek, JillDraper (Charles) Houlihan, Jeanette A. Draper and Josephine L. Draper; great-grandchildren Alina and Donovan Paxton,Travis, Aurora and Aiyana Cheek and Lilia Mae Houlihan; his twin brother Santo J. Gagliano and sisters Rose Ciarametaroand Mary Coppersmith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosalie; and siblings, Nicholaus Gagliano, SallyPiscitello and Vincie Militello. A Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Anthony J. Gagliano will be held at 10:30a.m., Saturday, April 9, <strong>2011</strong>, at the St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 West 5th St., <strong>Peru</strong> with the Rev. Francis I. Kilcline IIIofficiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery with Military Graveside Services provided by the Miami County MilitaryRites Unit. Family and friends will gather from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main, <strong>Peru</strong>.There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
