James retired from the U.S. Air Force in the early 1970s. He then workedfor several years at the foundry in Rochester. He worked for several years with Heritage Days in <strong>Peru</strong>. He graduated from <strong>Peru</strong> High School in 1972and his passion for the last 12 years was doing historical reenactments all over the top half of Indiana. He is survived by hismother, Jeanne Blodgett; his wife of 35 years, Miriam Blodgett; two daughters, Rachel Blodgett and Sarah (Bryan Scott)McCoy; and one beloved grandson, Clay McCoy. Also a sister Wanda Filson, Tampa, Fla. and several nieces and nephews. Hewas preceded in death by his father, Joseph R. Blodgett and a half sister, Marna Engel.
