1932-<strong>2011</strong> Mary C. (Odom) Parson, 78, North Manchester, died 9:35 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, <strong>2011</strong> at Wabash Hospital. Shewas born in Carroll County on Oct. 21, 1932 to Bert Odom and Beulah (Timmons) Odom Nickels. She married Estel K.“Pappy” Parson Jan. 30, 1971 and he preceded her in death. Mary retired from United Technologies in 1985 and was amember of the Eagles and the American Legion of North Manchester. She is survived by her son, Robert Dean “RD”Williamson and wife Winnie, Florida.; a daughter, Sandra Moore, North Manchester; her step-sons, Rick Parson and wifeGloria, Roann, Berman Parson and wife Starr, Roann, Brent Parson and wife Deanna, Deedsville and Bronsyn Parson and wifeJanet, Mexico; a stepdaughter, Kim Hentgen and husband Danny, <strong>Peru</strong>; her brothers, Maurice W. Nickels, Indianapolis, MorrisNickels Jr., Tennessee, and John Odon, Defiance, Ohio; and her sisters, Judy Grube, Rochester, Madeline McDaniel,Logansport, Eleanor Geary, North Manchester, Evelyn Brown, Cicero, and Deloris Johnson, Kokomo. She is also survived byseveral nieces and nephews, grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A funeralservice will be held at noon Friday at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 W. Third St., with Pastor Jason See officiating.Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Cass County. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at thefuneral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.Michael McClaran, 59, rural Macy passed away on Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, <strong>2011</strong> in Miami County. Born July 31, 1952 in<strong>Peru</strong>, he was the son of Robert Luis and Norma L. Murphy McClaran. He was married to Alta Kay Vance; and she precededhim in death on Oct. 25, 1998. He was an active member of Corinth Brethren Church near Twelve Mile. He retired fromSquare D in <strong>Peru</strong>. Survivors include his mother Norma, rural Roann; three children, Linette Marie Stevens and husband Kevin,Walton; Jonathan Ross McClaran, West Virginia; and Kayla McClaran, Bloomington; two grandchildren, Alyssa Stevens andAlexander Stevens, both of Walton; one brother, Jerry A. McClaran, rural <strong>Peru</strong>; mother-in-law, Inez L. Vance, W. Va.; sisterin-law,Denise Queen and husband Kelly Vance, W. Va.; and one brother-in-law, Terry Vance and wife Glenna, W. Va. Hewas preceded in death by his father and one brother, Harold Dean McClaran. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. onSunday, Aug. 14, <strong>2011</strong> at Corinth Brethren Church with Pastor Ben Pippen officiating. Burial will follow in WestlawnCemetery, Denver. Surviving is a sister Linda Pratt and her husbandThomas of Payton, Colo. and a brother Herbert Schomberg and his wife Janet of Pentwater, Mich.. He was preceded in deathby his parents and a sister Barbara Fiechtner. He graduated from Avondale High School, Avondale, MI in 1958 and retiredfrom the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Saint John’s Lutheran Church. A memorial servicecelebrating the life of Richard L. Bernadine DeLucca, 87, <strong>Peru</strong>, passed away at 4:07 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, <strong>2011</strong> at her residence surrounded by her lovingfamily. She was born in Miami County Feb. 14, 1924, the daughter of Harry A. and Minnie E. Benner Engel. Bernadinemarried John DeLucca, Jr. on Dec. 26, 1944 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1996. Bernadine attended the SalemChristian Church and was employed as a cook at the Gallahan Travel Center for more than 25 years, retiring in 1993.Bernadine treasured most her domestic life with family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmotherand friend. Bernadine was respected for her openness and frankness and everyone enjoyed her sense of humor aswell as her ability to make friends easily.
