Judson, 61, of <strong>Peru</strong>, passed away at 6:14 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, <strong>2011</strong>, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Hewas born in Auburn, N.Y. on April 24, 1949, the son of Robert and Berneita Tullett Judson. Steve married Paula Pitzeruse inClyde, N.Y., on April 4, 1970, and she survives. Steve was a 1967 graduate of Savannah High School, in Savannah, N.Y., andserved as a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years retiring in 1994. He was active in Big Brothers & BigSisters of Miami County, the Toastmasters and Kiwanis Club. Steve had won several contest and received numerous awards invarious Toastmaster activities. He was past president of the Air Force Sergeants Association at Grissom Air Force Base. Anavid Star Trek fan, Steve was a "Trekkie", a NASCAR enthusiast and follower of driver Mark Martin. For the past severalyears, Steve and his grandchildren planted the flowers at Miller's Merry Manor that were donated by Garden Gate Greenhouse.Additionally, Steve served as Master of Ceremony and an escort for the annual Miller's Merry Manor Sweetheart Festivities.Steve and his wife, Paula, lovingly raised two children. He was a devoted, husband, father and grandfather who thoroughlyenjoyed "kid sitting" with his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and delighted in playing practical jokes on hisgrandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife, Paula, is his daughter, Jodie Miller-Campbell and her husband, Jason, of<strong>Peru</strong>; his son, Michael Judson and his wife, Lisa, of <strong>Peru</strong>; his grandchildren, Brett Miller, Brook Miller, Brynn Miller, BradeeMiller, Isaac Judson, Jaden Judson and Alex Judson; his mother and stepfather, Frank and Berneita Campbell of Phelps, N.Y.;a sister Gail McMillian of Tyre, N.Y. and a brother, Kevin Judson of Phelps, N.Y. Jean married Walter R.Morris on May 30, 1941, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 2001. Jean was a former employee of Square D and amember of the St. Charles Catholic Church. She is most remembered for the many years she was a volunteer at St. Vincent dePaul, where she greeted everyone with a warm smile and a soft hello. She is survived by sons John Morris and his wife,Priscilla, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Alvin Morris and his wife, Ellen, of Indianapolis; a daughter Regina Steffey and herhusband, Darrald, of Bunker Hill; sisters Carmella Musto of Kokomo, Mary Moore and her husband, Charles, of Kokomo anda brother John Musto and his wife, Jean, of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Walter; a son, Richard, three brothers Pat, Paul and SamMusto and a sister, Lena Kleszics. Jim married Rhea I. Hileman inWabash County, on Feb. 9, 1946. He worked at the Richvalley Grain Elevator 37 years. He enjoyed working crafts, mowinghis yard, music, gardening, and flowers. He is survived by his wife, Rhea I. Kirby of LaFontaine; six children, Joyce A. (John)Hacker of Markle, Indiana, Richard (Pat) Kirby of Wabash, Myrl (Kathy) Suddarth of Del Rio, Tenn., Delores Suddarth of<strong>Peru</strong>, N.Y., Julie (Phil) Good of Wabash, and Beverly Suddarth of Kokomo; a sister, Arlene Metzger of <strong>Peru</strong>, Ind. Alsosurviving are 14 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James Kirby Jr., fourbrothers, Eldon, Everett, Kenneth, and Wayne Kirby, and a sister, Martha Boyer. Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash, on Wednesday, March 16, <strong>2011</strong> at 10:30 a.m. with David Phillipsofficiating.
