<strong>Tecnai</strong> on-line help Options 49Options Software version 23.16.5 Image-shift calibrationThe image-shift calibration procedure performs a calibration of the image shift on the CCD. Thiscalibration must be done for all magnifications in the required range (up to magnifications of ~150kx).Normally the whole range is calibrated in one procedure, but it also possible to (re)calibrate the imageshift for an individual magnification (e.g. when it appears that the calibration in the complete procedurewent wrong for one magnification, that magnification can be redone later).Note: If the image-shift calibration fails at low magnifications because of the presence of strongcontrast from grid bars, go to the center of the cross-grating specimen and use the triangle areain the "A" to do the image-shift calibration.3.16.6 Stage calibrationThe stage calibration calibrates the stage x and y shifts.3.16.7 Setup menuWith the Setup Menu, the operator defines the boundaries of the photomontage, sets the magnificationand, if needed, determines the rotation angle between the specimen-stage axes and the camera.Acquire imageSet magnificationCalibrate rotationStarts the retrieval of the reference image from TIA.Defines the magnification to be used for the photomontage.Not enabled for CCD. Calibrations are under the Calibrate menu.3.16.8 Exposure menuThe Exposure Menu contains the functions that are related to the performing the exposure of thephotomontage.AutomaticRepeat at currentstage positionManualStarts automatic exposure procedure.Repeats the automatic exposure but allows you to do this at the current stageposition (otherwise the stage will move back to the position where the montagewas originally defined). This option only becomes enabled once the automaticexposure has been done. It may be useful in cases where you simply want torepeat recording the same pattern more than once.Not available for CCD montage.3.16.9 Mount menuThe Mount Menu contains the functions that are related to the mounting of the photomontage.ExecuteShow logPressing execute will start the automatic mounting of the montage images.Will display a log containing information about the mounting of the images.
