consciousness-based education and governmentabout the authorsGeoffrey Wells, Ph.D., was formerly Dean of the College of the Scienceof Creative Intelligence and a Chairperson of the Department of theScience of Creative Intelligence (currently Department of MaharishiVedic Science) at Maharishi University of Management. He receivedhis B.A. in 1970 and his Ph.D. in the areas of Philosophy of Scienceand Social Science in 1984 from the University of Adelaide, Australia.He was founding director of undergraduate and graduate programs inthe Science of Creative Intelligence (currently Maharishi Vedic Science)at Maharishi University of Management was and the co-founderof the journal, Modern Science and Vedic Science.Dr. Wells supervised and edited several interdisciplinary researchpublications at Maharishi University of Management and received anumber of teaching awards, including the 1990 Sears-Roebuck Awardfor Excellence in Teaching and Campus Leadership. He has lecturedextensively on Consciousness-Based education throughout the UnitedStates, the United Kingdom, and in Australia. Currently, he is theDean of External Engagement and Program Director of SustainableBusiness at Division of Business, University of South Australia.Sam Boothby, Ed.D., is Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences andAdjunct Associate Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science at MaharishiUniversity of Management. He has served the University as Dean ofFaculty, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Director of theCenter for Educational Excellence. He earned a B.A. in Literature fromKalamazoo College; an M.A. in Education from Maharishi Universityof Management; and an Ed.D. in Teaching, Curriculum and LearningEnvironment from Harvard University.
