Dr. Cavanaugh receivedhis B.A. from Yale University in 1964, Master of Public Affairs (withspecialization in International Affairs) from the Woodrow WilsonSchool of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in1969, MA. in Education from the Graduate School of Education atStanford University in 1973, and Ph.D. in Economics in 1983 fromthe University of Washington. His current area of research includeseffects of the group practice of Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditationand TM-Sidhi programs on international relations and economicdevelopment. Dr. Cavanaugh’s papers have appeared in the Proceedingsof the American Statistical Association, Journal of International Money andFinance, The Journal of Mind and Behavior, and Journal of Social Behaviorand Personality.Kurleigh D. King was formerly Governor of the Central Bank of Barbadosand Trustee and Professor of Management and Public Affairsat Maharishi University of Management. He was Secretary-Generalof the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM)from 1978 to 1983. Dr. King received his BA. in Mathematics andEnglish from London University, England in 1960 and his Ph.D. inBusiness Administration from Columbia University in 1973, where heserved as Assistant Dean from 1967 to 1968. Dr. King’s publicationsinclude reports prepared for the Caribbean Common Market Councilof Ministers, the British Commonwealth Governments, and theUnited Nations Industrial Development Organization.Birney D. Titus received his B. A. from Yale University in 1971 andhis MA. in statistics from Stanford University in 1984. He received hisPh.D. in Operations Research, specializing in simulation and appliedprobability, from Stanford in 1985. He joined the Department of Managementand Public Affairs at Maharishi University of Managementin 1986.388
