He takes away the first, that he mayestablish the second [The Covenants].This is a reference to the text of a certain book. The bookspecifies that, “In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin youhave had no pleasure. 7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volumeof the book it is written of me) [of this body Christ] to doyour will, O God.” When reading the full text above, youwill understand the basis for this statement, 9 “He takesaway the first, that he may establish the second.”God changed the sacrifice (a shadow) from sacrificing animalsby providing the body of Christ (The Word becamereal) as the sacrifice for all mankind.
