It was basedtotally on faith and, because Abraham was The Father ofThe Faithful, it was counted to him as righteousness.The Abrahamic Covenant did not demand or require oneto keep The Law of Moses. Because of his faith, Abrahamkept The Commandments, statutes and The Law (Romans2:15). The Law of Moses consisted of blessings and cursings.It literally means “to cut us under the flesh” (a division).You either get the blessings or you get the cursings.It is one or the other. You had to keep all The Laws, oryou would be cursed. What was wrong with the first covenant?The fault was with the people. So God, as YHWH(JHVH), Merciful, Good, Righteous, Just and Holy, gave aLaw to people who were flawed. They were unrepentant,hard-hearted and stubborn. The Law of Moses was madefor disobedient people (I Timothy 1:9). The Law was notneeded for those who were repentant or righteous throughChrist. The stubborn people were given a choice just likeAdam and Eve.
