Even theologians fight over this identity. Whowas the rock? Who was The Word? Who appeared in theburning bush? Who gave Moses The Ten Commandments?Stephen, the first deacon, who eventually became an evangelist,was stoned and killed in the end. In The Book ofActs, Stephen said, “ 29 Then fled Moses at this saying andwas a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat twosons” (Acts 7). When Moses arrived in The Land of Madian,who did he confront? Remember, his wife said thatit was The Mount of God. He went in front of a bush.Voice From The Bush“ 30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared tohim in the wilderness of Mount Sinai [what?] an angel ofthe Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.” The voice out ofthe bush said, “ 33 Put off your shoes from your feet for theplace where you stand is holy ground [Moses believed hewas talking to God].” It wasn’t God, The Father – it wasan angel. Christ told the truth. No man has ever heardGod’s voice.Acts 7:53 Who have received the law by the dispositionof angels and have not kept it.
