Paul said the fault was with them (Hebrews8:8). Israel had the wrong nature because of theirhuman flesh which is a carnal heart. To have Eternal Life,you must have The Ten Commandments written in yourheart (Matthew 19:16-22).An unconverted person, on his own, cannot decide rightfrom wrong. Rebellious Israel had to have every aspect ofhuman living spelled out in detail. That is why The Lawcovered every part of human existence. The Law tells youwhat sin is (I John 3:4). On their own, the people could notdiscern good from evil. The difference between The Gentiles(pagans) and Israel is that The Gentiles did not knowGod (Romans 1:28). They were helplessly left to their ownideas of right and wrong. The outcome has produced avariety of religions and all of them are wrong.However, God spelled out right and wrong for The Israelitesin detail. Then Moses wrote it in a book. Otherwise,there was no difference between The Gentiles andThe Israelites. Both of them were unrepentant and carnal.Israel knew God’s way, but The Gentiles had no clue.However, neither of them were able to be righteous. TheGentiles did not know the difference, and Israel had awrong heart.
