There is never a better liarthan a person who believes his or her own lies. There arepeople who will lie to you and, all the while, believe theyare telling you the truth. By using deception, they nevertell you a total lie. <strong>Part</strong> of what they say is true. WhenSatan tried to tempt Eve with the fruit, Eve said, “Godsays we shouldn’t eat it because when we eat it we are goingto die.” And what did Satan say, “You are not going todie.” He was telling her the truth, but he didn’t tell herthat they would need to die, be resurrected and then besaved. Also, he didn’t tell her there is a first death and asecond death.Satan Deceived EveSatan deceived Eve by reasoning with her. In essence, hesaid, “Look, the reason God doesn’t want you to eat the fruitof The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil is becauseyou will become wise and know right from wrong.” Evewanted to decide for herself what was right or wrong bythe hard knocks of trial and error.
